There are a number of ways you can get to the Dajti Ekspres. Public Bus Lines
Save some money and do the right thing for the planet at the same time! There are various buses that visitors can catch from Tirana but finding your way around the Albanian transport system can be challenging.
You can reach Dajti Ekspres via the following bus lines:
Qender – Porcelan
The Porcelan bus is blue and departs from the tower clock (Sahati) in the centre of Tirana near Skenderbeg square. This bus is by far your best option as it is faster, direct (There is only a short (uphill) walk from the last bus stop to the cable car station. Below you will find a video showing you the journey step by step and also a diagram of this bus line so you know what to expect. The Porcelan bus operates at the following times:
- The Porcelan bus has approximately 17 stops
- The bus operates from 05:30 – 24:00 all year round
- The frequency varies from 5-20 min depending on the time of day
- The journey from the center takes approximately 20-30 minutes
- Journey times may vary depending on traffic
- Ticket price is 40 Leke one-way
Kombinat – Kinostudio
The Kombinat bus is Orange and departs from Garibaldi Square (Sheshi Kombinat). Vistors may also alight this bus in the center close to the National Bank or at “9 Kateshet”. In total there are 20 stations, the first is Garibaldi Square and last station is called IKV. If you are planning a trip to Dajti Ekspres the following bus times apply:
- This bus operates from 5:30 – 24:00 all year round
- The frequency varies from 5-30 min depending on the time of day
- The journey from Kombinat takes approximately 45 minutes
- The journey from the center takes approximately 15-20 minutes
- Journey times may vary depending on traffic
- Please Note: During summer season the Cable car opens from 9:00 – 19:00 with the last cable car going up at 19:00. Visitors should plan their trip accordingly.
From I.K.V tourists can either walk the 15 minutes to get to our lower station (Not advised, it would be better to take the Porcelan bus) or take the Dajti Ekspres minibus which is located just across the road. The minibus operates every 30 mins between the hours of 09:00 – 20:00 during the summer months and 09:00 – 18:00 during the winter months.
Dajti Ekspres Minibus
For our customers who feel they are unable to walk to the station (15 minutes from IKV, 5 minutes from the last stop of the Porcelan bus) it is advised to take get off either bus at the I.K.V stop where they will find the Dajti Ekspres minibus. Visitors can alight this bus which goes directly to the cableway station every 30 minutes. The bus operates between the hours of 09:00 – 20:00 during the summer months and 09:00 – 18:00 during the winter months.
Taxis
Meter taxis are available for hire across the city centre. You can flag one down anywhere in the city, the charge from the centre to Dajti Ekspres varies from 700 to 1000 leke one-way.
Tip: Always ask the driver to put on the meter or alternatively negotiate a fixed price before you get in.

Directions
The Lower Station of Dajti Ekspres is located in Linze, in the periphery of Tirana. It is about a 15 – 20 minute drive from the city centre. Be on the lookout for directional boards as you come into the city centre on major routes (Pictured above).
Towards the end of Porcelan Road look out for a static board to the left (pictured above) which directs you towards the Dajti Ekspres station. Turn left at this sign and follow the winding road to the top.
While many locals drive to the lower cable station and park in our car park it can be a difficult for those unfamiliar with the area. Keep reading for information on public bus lines and taxis including a video below showing a step by step guide.
Parking
There is free parking at the lower station of Dajti Ekspres. Please note that in winter when it snows or if we are holding a special event, the parking can become full very quickly. During busy periods it is advised to leave the car at home and use public bus lines, car share with friends or take a taxi.
